Into the woods, acrylic on paper, 2010

When I found out that the DDoA had selected older "bird" work of mine, I decided to create some new work using the same theme. It was fun to have the freedom of a self-curated show to do whatever I wanted with the space

Morrigan's passing, mixed media on paper, 2009

This was finished at a residency last fall. The dead crow is a drawing in graphite.

Unfettered diversion, mixed media on panel, 2009

I put the new box paintings on the pedestals so viewers can get a sense of the 3-dimensionality of the pieces.

Loopy escapism, mixed media on panel, 2010

One of the new box paintings.

Lilith's refusal, oil on canvas. 2010
When the light captured her, oil on canvas, 2009

I had to complete one more painting for the show (we always want the new work!), so Lilith's refusal, was a tiny bit wet when I installed it Monday.
