NWAA's own Margaret Winslow to speak @ DCCA this Thursday!

DCCA Guest Curator Margaret Winslow will speak at the DCCA this Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 12 noon. Winslow's talk is part of the DCCA's weekly lunchtime lecture series, Art Salad.

Margaret Winslow will discuss the exhibition In Canon which explores “the human condition, notions of beauty, or personality in popular culture” throughout the art historical “canon.”

Art Salad is a free lunchtime lecture series that features multi-point perspectives into the world of contemporary art from artists, historians, educators, and curators. Bring your own lunch or arrive by 11:45 am to place an order for delivery from Cosi®.

PART-TIME SECURITY GUARD

(Open Until Filled)

A Part-Time Security Guard is needed for occasional weekend and evening hours at the DCCA. The hours would include working Saturdays 10am-5pm, and/ or Sundays 12pm - 5pm, and/or evening coverage during special events (such as first Friday Art Loop evenings). GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The role of the Part-Time Security Guard is to ensure a positive, safe and secure environment for the entire facility. This includes the public viewing contemporary art in the galleries, the studio artists in the facilities, and the staff in office areas. The Security Guard is responsible for the overall well-being of the artwork, public safety, building safety, and employee safety at all times while on duty.

NWAA member, Ron Longsdorf held a live performance in Spartanburg, South Carolina Wednesday, September 29th, 5-8pm during the opening reception of Visual Fringe as part of the Wilmington Fringe Festival.
