He looks just like Benjamin Austin in this picture!
I think there's a little bit of Duke Silver in that mustache. For some reason when I was reading about this I pictured him in a state similar to the many scenes in which Ed Harris plays a drunk Pollock in his movie. You know, like riding a bike with a case of wine on it, while drinking a bottle.
