NWAA DIRECTOR TO RECEIVE 2009 CHRISTI AWARD!

New Wilmington Art Association is pleased to announce that Michael Kalmbach will receive the 2009 Christi Award for Outstanding Achievement in Arts Advocacy & Community Service. The Christi Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at 6:00pm. This year's theme is " Hope, Inspiration, Knowledge, Passion - Unifying the Community Through the Arts." The awards program will take place at the Baby Grand Theatre followed by a reception at the Christina Cultural Arts Center.

" It's an honor to be recongnized by the Christina Cultural Arts Center. More importantly, the Christi Award will give New Wilmington Art Association a new platform to promote the needs of emerging artists in downtown Wilmington. As this new downtown begins to unfold, New Wilmington Art Association will continue to serve the needs of the young cultural workers who are largely responsible for the revitalization of our City." - Michael Kalmbach, Director of New Wilmington Art Association
